Based in the heart of Mid-Canterbury I work with people all over New Zealand and beyond both in-person and virtually.

Being passionate about sports, especially running, since I was a child it was only a matter of time before my passion for food, health, and performance nutrition flourished into wanting to pursue this further. Completing a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Majoring in Human Nutrition at the University of Otago I then took the next step and completed a Master of Dietetics (MDiet). I worked clinically for a number of years gaining fundamental experience in a range of specialities in some of New Zealand’s largest hospitals, before spending nearly four years specialising in diabetes. In this time, I slowly built up my private practice as a side hustle, which soon became my main pursuit. In more recent years I have completed my Accreditation with Sports Dietitians Australia, completed training as a FODMAP Dietitian through Monash University Melbourne, and have completed courses on eating disorders in sport.

There is plenty of generic advice out there and even more misinformation surrounding nutrition. I strongly value individualised advice as well as walking the talk (or should I say running!) having completed many endurance events including the Kepler Challenge and Coast to Coast as a two-person team. Theory is great, but putting this into practise in the real world can be challenging. I completely relate. I understand eating optimally can feel overwhelming, whether that is in the daily hustle and bustle of life, eating for certain health conditions, or 6-hours in to an ultra-marathon. My values align with you, the client sitting in front of me. You need to feel heard, understood, and supported through whatever health, life, or sporting goals you have.

When I’m not working you will find me out running trails with friends, skiing up the mountain, walking my Bernese Mountain Dogs, reading, studying, or cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

There are only a handful of Accredited Sports Dietitians based in New Zealand, and even less who have a combined set of skills from a clinical background and who specialise in sports nutrition. When investing in your health and nutrition it is important you find someone who is the right fit for you. I can offer a clinical, evidence-based, realistic and practical approach to nourish your potential.
